A brief backstory...
After spending years in the wine, craft beer, and spirits industry, I found my health declining, along with many close friends and family. While food & nutrition were always passions for me, I found myself struggling with weight fluctuation, stomach pain, digestive troubles, debilitating migraines, and fatigue. I knew in my heart and body it was time for me to turn my life around and help everyone I can live a healthier life.
I took a leap of faith & embarked on a rigorous, science & evidence-based graduate program at Maryland University of Integrative Health. I received my Masters of Science after years of clinical research, clinic work, and studies in organic chemistry, biochemistry, pathophysiology, and a range of graduate-level nutrition courses. Nutrition focus points included diabetes education, sports nutrition, herbal treatments, cooking labs, and deep scientific dives into nutritional deficiencies and disorders from anxiety to thyroid disorders.
I took the challenging Certified Nutrition Specialists national board exam and after over 1,000 hours of clinic work, received my CNS designation, respected as the most advanced certification in nutrition in the United States. I also became a Licensed Nutritionist in North Carolina, where I now practice full time.
When I don't have my nose in a nutrition-based book, my ears tuned to a health podcast, or my eyes delving into scientific research online, I love hiking, rock climbing, camping, yoga, cooking, music, and spending QT with my son.
Wherever you are in your life and health journey, I'll meet you there, and we will take it on together. I look forward to seeing you soon.
